I am in the market for a 52 reissue tele. I love the butterscotch blond, always have, and cant stop looking at it. Now, I can get a regular 52 reissue with vintage specs, but also, have to deal with the vintage vibe(which is good) but bending and the radius is something to deal with. The 52 hotrod is another one Im looking at with the Seymour Duncan small humbucker in the neck, and the 9.5 fingerboard radius, which will help with bends, and also, its wired hotter, then the regular 52, which if I get, I will have to rewire it. Please give me your advice, and please help with my decision. Thanks.

I have the Hot Rod and I have grown to like it. Its not you average tele sound wise. I suggest playing both if you can and then make your decision. Ive never had a problem bending on a vintage neck.

So you have never have a problem with the small frets and radius on the 52 reissue? No problems with fretting out on your bends. etc?

Hi Brannon, I have a Tele with a 7.25 radius neck with vintage frets and I love it, it is my favorite most comfy Tele. I also have a '52 hot rod body with a Warmoth neck and I'm still waiting to bond with it. It's just not "my" sound if you know what I mean.

Truth be told I guess I'm more of a Strat guy at heart 8) .
