Hi there. Yesterday I went to a music shop to try some guitars and found out that the body that I find myself more comfortable is the Telecaster and Stratocaster. Assuming that I prefer Tele's over Strat's, which Tele would you recomeend me? I play Pink Floyd (favourite guitarist! David Gilmour ROCKS!), Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple(RIP Jon Lord :( ) , ZZ Top, Ted Nugent, etc. And I don't want to spend more than 300 euros. Keep in mind that its Euros €€.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that I prefer maple fingerboard.

Hi

Your budget really cuts your choice of Fender telecasters a quick look on Thomann.de brings up Squier affinity and standrd models as your options, a further 100 euros brings the squier classic vibe series an fender modern player series ino the equation.

I have a modern player tele in my collection, the pickup combination may give you the sound you are looking for.

Btw isn't mr gilmore a strat man???

I already have a Strat body guitar, but its not Squier nor Fender. It's Rocktile a german brand. Payed 80 euros for it. It's very low quality. And I prefer Telecasters with maple fingerboard.

As mentioned you're probably better off saving up a other 100 euro, selling that crappy guitar and spending a bit more on your new guitar. With that money you might get a Mexican standard telecaster second hand. Used guitars are a create way to get what you want for little money. I recently saved 170 gbp on a guitar off eBay because it was used. It didn't even have a scratch on the scratchplate.

I recently got a Modern Player Thinline Telecaster Deluxe and it's really a great guitar. http://www.fender.com/products/modernpl ... 0241202500

Image

They also make a Modern Player Telecaster Plus: http://www.fender.com/products/modernpl ... 0241102542

Here in the US these guitars have a street price of about $400 which is about €330 at current exchange. I don't know what Fender's price structure is like in the EU however.

Uhhh... It's 400 €. If it was those 330€ I would buy it, but 400€ is too much for me. You know, im still a teenager, I receive money in the Christmas or Birthday. :(

You should be able to pick up a used Mexican made Fender Telecaster for about €300, maybe less. And you get to have that fender logo on the headstock.

eBay or Gumtree is your friend here.

You know, you could always try to look online for a used mexican tele
that's like, the cheapest yet still good quality option

I'm chilean, so you can imagine how the price goes up down here, have the same problem, end up paying like 1000 USD for a 500 USD fender guitar

Squier classic vibe should be right there on budget. Like someone else said, sell your crappy strat clone and add more money to your budget.
