Traded my Telepartsocaster today for this. It's a 2010 Fender 72 Telecaster Deluxe Re-issue. An absolute beauty in Walnut.

Torresfan...Unless your partscaster was made from Custom Shop parts, that was a pretty good deal! Nice guitar. Thanks for posting pics!

How do you like the tone of the pickups?

The pickups are great. I'm bringing it into a friend of mine who owns a Guitar shop tomorrow for some work on it. He's going to upgrade all the pots to 500k and the volume pots will also have a push/pull so that I can coil split the humbuckers.

Thats looks great! I have something similar, it's black and has a whammy bar. Took me a long time to save up for :D

Have fun with it!

If your friend tells you what he's doing, could you post what pots he replaced them with? This is something I would like to do, but am unsure how... :D Thanks

Chromeface? No pics of Eric clapton playing one of these? No suggestions to swap out the pots so it can be an exact replica of a different model? Are you ok?!?! :D :D JUST KIDDING MATE!!! Just having a little laugh, but its a little surprising to see a post of yours with just a smiley and not some other-worldly knowledge about the setup of every guitar on the planet, but who wouldn't smile at a lovely guitar like this.

Nice purchase torresfan and I hope your well Chrome :).

Congratulations, torresfan! :D

I picked up a used 2006 model back in 2009, and it quickly became my favorite guitar. If you enjoy yours even half as much, you will be a very happy guy. 8)

It's an amazing Guitar and since the pots where changed there is a noticeable improvement in the tone and bite of the pickups. I also had to change the pickup selector switch which was crackling. I also had it fully set up with EB Standard Slinky 11s and the action is now super low.

This one is certainly a keeper!

I don't know the names but they were 500k pots that were installed as well as the replacement of the pickup selector which was crackling. The capacitors were also changed and overall there is a huge improvement to my ears. :)

Thanks! I might do that too, I've heard that the pots are the weakest spot on this guitar. Sounds like some internet searching for me... :D
