Does anyone know what kind of strings Fender ships with specifically the Tele Baja Classic? I got one in 2011 (made in Mexico) and I'm still not crazy about the strings. The strings I normally play w/ are Ernie Ball Super Slinky (gauges 9/11/16/24/32/42). Would it be worth it to replace the factory ones? Thanks.

You should change the strings often :D Then you find out what you like . The EB super slinky should do well - though I think I would have preferred 10's (Slinky) on that particular guitar , but my experience with that one is limited to about 5 min a year ago  Try the ones you like!

I am sure the stock strings for a Baja Tele are Fenders Super 250R .010-.046 gauge. I have 10s on my Baja, other posters have suggested try some different ones and goes with the ones that feel the best.

Fender lists the stock strings for all the guitars on their website, just click on the specs tab here: http://www.fender.com/products/search.p ... 0141502303

Strings: Fender® USA Super 250R, NPS, (.010-.046 Gauges)

Both of my telecasters came with these same strings, and I found them too light personally. But of course everyone needs to use whatever works best for them.

Thanks for the info. I was also wondering about guitar polish -- I know it keeps it clean and healthy, but does it also help slick the neck at all? My Baja is so new the oils on my fingers haven't gotten all over it yet, which always made gliding up and down the frets easier on my old guitars.

Use whatever guitar polish you like. After trying many over the years, I now use Gibson's pump polish...yes, on my Fenders :!:

At all other times I use a microfiber cloth to wipe and clean the guitar, and I find that it helps with neck stickiness too. Just use it often!

ROFL yeah in the stores with the stock 9's most seem to come with they play soooo easy. But as soon as I get one home on go the Slinky 10's, slight neck adjust, and then the tone comes out and more feedback when bending and more touch sensitive. Would do 11's if my fingers could take them

Does Fender ship all Telecasters with two single coil pickups with the same size strings?
How about other Fender shipped Telecaster?
Is there a standard size for Fender Teles?

Unless there were exceptions for some Artist Signature models I'm sure the "rule of thumb" for the original strings on Strats would hold for the Teles as well:

"Modern" style Teles (American Standards, American Specials, American Deluxe, MIM Standards, MIM Deluxe, etc.) would ship with .009s, "vintage" style Teles (American Vintage, Classic Series, etc.) with '50s or '60s specs would ship with .010s. However, Fender has a lot more '70s-era Tele reissues than they do Strat reissues; I'm also fairly sure that these '70s spec reissues ship with .009s instead of .010s. I believe that the AV '69 Thinline falls in line with the 70s reissues and ships with .009s as well.

I don't even know why this question is being asked. As has already been noted in this thread, all one has to do is click on the "Products" link at the top of this page. Fender lists the string gauge and brand/type for EVERY guitar they sell.

Bluesky. I don't even know why you ask this question?
This is a multiple time you've mentioned a subject has been noted or all one had to do
is click on the products link. Interesting. Guess you are being forgetful in your old age.

Thank you so much for trying to be helpful. It's greatly appreciated. You are just so kind

Oh, yes. This thread is about "Tele Factory Strings".
But But But, there is sooooooooo much more . . . .
"How about other Fender shipped Telecasters? Is there a standard size for Fender Teles?"
The above two line re-quote is from my three line quest for more info.
Maybe you read it and forgot you read it. Again, sorry for your loss.

So, there is sooooooooo much more I had/have/do/will/might try to present.
How in the world could you know that? Please try to remember you do not know it all.
You do not know me or what my intentions are or my goal is.
Please stop following me around and adding to my comments.
You are becoming embarrassing.

Here is a project for you:
Since you like following me around and on occasion love to let me know
a subject matter can be looked up/researched in the “library”,
and it is my belief ALL knowledge IS NOT in the library,
and ALL different and unique ways ARE NOT always expressed in the library,
and ALL experiences from 512,000 members HAVE NOT been shared in the library.

Bluesky, why not start a list of all subject matter in the library? and a list of what ISN’T in the library.
This way we’d know to search subjects first, rather than bump into your non-controlling remarks.
I like that idea.

Now, in another comment, I will continue my quest towards Telecaster String Knowledge.
Thanks again for your “awareness tip”. Do take care. You are appreciated.

Back to the OP's subject at hand.

I have seen Telecasters with one humbucker, two humbuckers,
and Telecasters with three single coil pickups.
Would Fender vary the factory shipped strings for these custom models?

Aren't there Fender Telecasters shipped with .09s, .10s & .11s?
If so, what is the deciding factor for one Factory string set over another?

Are the various pickups' (single coil, humbucker and dual humbuckers) magnets
involved in that decision process???

Today, I received two guitars back from my guitar tech.
One has a locking nut with a locking bridge.
Would string size be a consideration for this setup?

Also, I have a Telecaster with a Bigsby Tremolo system,
would string size be a consideration?
BTW, does Fender factory ship any Telecasters with tremolo systems?

Just wondering. Very interested. Toppscore.

No, sorry, Toppscore, you are the one who insists and repeating things and asking the same question over and over.

The OP asked: "Does anyone know what kind of strings Fender ships with specifically the Tele Baja Classic?"

After several non-answers, Boyd1 finally provided the correct answer: "Fender lists the stock strings for all the guitars on their website, just click on the specs tab here: http://www.fender.com/products/search.p ... 0141502303"

You must have missed that (you need to pay closer attention to what is being posted) because you then asked: "Does Fender ship all Telecasters with two single coil pickups with the same size strings?
How about other Fender shipped Telecaster?
Is there a standard size for Fender Teles?"

Again, the correct answer is: "As has already been noted in this thread, all one has to do is click on the "Products" link at the top of this page. Fender lists the string gauge and brand/type for EVERY guitar they sell."

But no, you insist on asking the same question several times more. The answer remains the same. And not just for Telecasters (regardless of their configuration), but Strats, Jaguars, Jazzmasters, heck, they even list the strings for lowly Squier Affinitys and Bullets. So you can ask the question any way you want regarding the strings that Fender ships on their guitars and the answer will still be the same: Check the Fender product website. Even a caveman can do that.

PS: My post was in response to John C's post. But since you addressed me directly, I responded to you directly. And as far as following you around, I apologize for being interested in some of the same threads you are. Great minds think alike, eh?

and more options for other possibilities :D
