No, Tbazzone.
Remember back to college business 101 and micro economics 1A basics.
Really, not anything illogical.

The big problem is when companies go out of business or dump old inventory.
Then, for the short term, good for the buyer and bad for the competitors.
But, that is only short term to sell below costs.

Where did you come up with that bit of info. Sounds absurd to me.
Dumbest thing I have ever heard but I am sure he can prove his claims.

Tabby, those are genuine Fender. Complete Fender guitars except for necks.
TheStratosphere has over 600(+) Fender truly loaded and complete bodies
with Fender pickups and parts in stock. Cool stuff. Love their products.
I'm going to get one of their 100% original Fender Jaguars.

Where did you make up that they are not a Fender dealer?
Gosh, let TheStratosphere escape your your opinions. I think their line-up and product
support of Fender is A#1 = The best. Fender surely is not going to put a warranty
on bodies & necks.

Wish all suppliers were supportive of Fender as TheStratosphere.
I like them and I like their products as a potential customer.
And they claim there parts and bodies and necks are licensed.
Good enough for me. I may have bought some small parts from them,
not sure, but will soon get the Jaguar body. Take care. Toppscore 8)

And here is your problem when someone give you facts you ignore them. If Startosphere were a Fender dealer all there parts would have a warrenty. There Licensed bodys and necks are Mighty Mite. I know Ive bought them. He gets nothing directly from Fender.

 It is a known fact (well, known to anyone with a shred of understanding) that The Stratosphere is NOT an authorized Fender dealer. I defy anyone to show where the "Fender Authorized Dealer" logo appears anywhere on their website as required for real Fender dealers. They are a chop shop. Fender does NOT sell bodies and necks to anyone for resale. Fender does not sell bodies and necks period. The only way to get a Fender body and neck FROM Fender is through a valid warranty claim which must be processed through a certified Fender repair station. Ask Mike Eldred what he thinks of The Stratosphere and then duck.

OK. "Known fact" is a pretty definitive statement. You could be absolutely right.
You might not be correct at all. I posted what Stratosphere wrote back to me.

Whether I am right or wrong, I want to find out.
Today, I sent Stratosphere another message asking about their relationship with Fender
as they have 575 New Fender Necks (go to the Stratosphere site and search:
"NEW Fender Neck") and 449 NEW Fender loaded bodies (search: "NEW Loaded Fender").

Yes, they have 14 Mighty Mite necks total.
Also, they have used necks and bodies.

So, based upon comments, I sent Stratosphere another email to be specific about their
suppliers and their relationship with Fender. Where would a chop house get 575 100%
BRAND NEW Fender "LOADED" bodies with all of the electronics and components?
Where would a chop house get 449 100% BRAND NEW Fender necks?

Also, I am going to send Fender a similar message, so, hopefully we will go from:
"I believe" and "known fact" to better understanding what Fender actually does.

REMEMBER, my initial statement & my first two words within this thread are "I BELIEVE"!
"I believe that Fender ships the loaded bodies to some high end Fender dealers with custom shops."

So, if you or I am right or wrong, we learn something, right?

Regarding what I do know:
Many automobile manufacturers make transmissions & engines for competing autos.
Toyota and Honda trade components. GM & Toyota trade components. There are others.

Another thing. I recently purchased 2011 van with an eight year wrap around Chrysler warranty.
Chrysler would not warrany any of the parts for eight years. Just as Fender will not warranty
any of their parts or non complete guitars & amps. We do not know the arrangement
between Fender and it's specialty customers. Maybe Fender is happy a company like
Stratosphere can advertise 575 Loaded NEW Fender bodies. Let's find out. OK?

In the high-tech industry, we built tons of private label partial computer systems
and shipped to VARs, VADs, system houses and smaller distributors. They added
their own labels or kept ours for a stronger support presence.

Many industries OEM and private lable to "certain customers".
Main thing is "I BELIEVE" Fender does this as well to keep all of it's six or more factories
running and employees employed rather than having seasonal layoffs.
My belief, and I have interest in finding out the facts, rather than "it's a known fact".

Here you go. If you don't understand what this means, I'll be happy to explain it to you.

Bottom of the page, clear as a bell:

http://stores.ebay.com/The-STRATosphere ... dures.html

I'll even post it here for you so you don't have to struggle to find it:

"DISCLAIMER: The STRATosphere is not affiliated with Fender Musical Instruments in any way."

So much for their "arrangement" with Fender. I don't expect an apology from you because if there is one thing we all have learned about you, it is that you are incapable of admitting the truth when you are proven wrong.

Hi! Thanks Bluesky. We got a Stratosphere answer. So much for Stratosphere's arrangement with Fender. I don't expect any kindness from you because if there is one thing we all have learned about you, Bluesky, it is that you are incapable of grace. One thing we've learned is your lack of kindness, understanding, poise and added bitterness. Why so upset? Just a question or an "I believe" idea to be investigated. Hope you recover.

Thanks for putting an end to what "I believed" regarding Stratosphere/Fender.
I was wrong regarding Stratosphere
I'm sorry you spent some energy getting a great answer regarding Stratosphere
I'm sorry and do apologize you mistook "I believe" to be an absolute
Next time I believe something, I will add "IMHO" or a disclaimer "to be investigated".
Sorry it put you into a troubled state of mind. Don't want you to be upset

Anyway, I'm still going to purse the concept of Fender selling as an OEM or selling
bodies & necks to special customers. We shall see. I could be wrong, but am interested.

Again, Bluesky, I believe there may be more than than just Stratosphere.
We shall see. I could be wrong. But, just wondering :D

Wouldn't it be interesting if Fender sold on the OEM market,
maybe to Asia or Europe? Wonder about Australia? Or to guitar/amp VAR's?
We shall see. I could be wrong, just wondering :D

Following is a response to my more direct questions from Stratosphere
(understand, I'm seeking their bodies to build a Strat, Tele and a Jaguar):

"Dear toppscore, Hi, Our parts are from complete guitars. There is no warranty on our items. We have a 14 day return policy. If an item is returned it must be in the same condition as when we shipped it out. If an item is modified or damaged during installation it cannot be returned. We sell Fender necks as well as Mighty Mite necks. Any item that is described as Fender in our listings is genuine Fender."

Obviously, my ideas and beliefs were incorrect. Again, I apologize for not making it
clear I was strongly into an inquiry that it seemed as I was speaking as fact.

Unless you really know from the source, I will see what Fender says.
Not being against anybody's opinions or ideas, but just for my own inquiry & interest.
Nothing more than that :D

This has been stated on this site by Fenders Mike Eldred that they do not sell Bodys or necks by themselves they only sell whole guitars.

It seems to me that if an eBay seller wanted to make bank on guitar parts, one way would be to part out an excellent condition trade in and sell the parts as new pull offs. You usually only get 50% and sometimes less on your trade in so if the profit margin is better than hanging the complete guitar in a shop on the used rack then they figure, "why not?".
