I'm trying to decide between these 2 color choices and am having a hard time. What looks better in person? I feel the pics probably don't do them justice.

Also, what is the reasoning that the 2 tone burst is $100 more than the 3 tone? This seems backwards to me. The only thing I can think of is that a better choice of wood is used on the 2 tone because it's a lighter color and the grain comes through more. I'd love an explanation if it's available.

Thanks,
Ryan

I have only seen two 2012 American Standard Teles in guitar stores. Both were 3-Color Sunbursts, one with a rosewood fretboard, the other with maple. I wanted rosewood so I traded for this one.

Both sunburst finishes are nice. The 2-Color is more expensive because Fender uses an ash body for that Tele, the 3-Color uses alder. The wood grain usually shows through better with ash.
