I've been looking at practice amps for when I play late at night and the spousal unit wants to sleep! It's come down to either the Roland Micro Cube or the Fender Mustang Mini. Looking for recommendations and thoughts from the tele collective, including other options to consider. Thanks.

I'd suggest something that has

A) Modelling
B) A headphone jack

So mustang mini looks like the way to go. I use a Line 6 Pod XT. Same thing.

well it does depend on what features you want of course, but I like my Fender mini twin amp. Tiny, but it can chuck out the volume if required, nice tweed covering also.

The Roland Micro Cube is cool and I heard one being used. It was kinda cool to see them jamming away with battery power!

I picked up a Mustang Mini today. I went and tested mini amps back to back with my Telecaster to figure out which one sounded the best to me. The Roland Micro Cube sounded good too but the Mustang has more features so it was my pick.

Thanks for all the comments. I think the Fender Mustang Mini will be top choice with Roland Micro Cube a close second.

The Mini can actually interface with your computer for downloading different effects and recording music. You also don't need 1/4" jacked headphones, you can use earbuds if you wish as well as an input jack for an MP3 player. This little thing has so many sounds and options, the Roland can't compete! Plus I liked what I could do with the Tele on it.
I tried them all and I feel that the Mini gave me the best bang for the buck. I highly recommend that you take your guitar with you to hear on each of the systems and choose the one that you like the best.
