Here's my new guitar. It's a Standard Tele in Candy Apple Red. Like Lake Placid Blue, Candy Apple Red is a metallic paint and changes color depending on the amount of light hitting it. It's a bright red with lots of light hitting it but a dark red when it's dark around. It has a 60th anniversary neck plate. I assume this plate was put on all 2011 Fender Standards and is not an actual 60th Anniversary model. Much like my 2006 Standard Strat with the 60 diamond on the headstock. I'm getting used to the flat bridge (my other Tele has the ashtray type bridge with the ridge) but the learning curve will be short. I bought it new from Fiery Bros. Music in Tulsa.

None of these pictures accurately show the color of the guitar. It's a deep metallic red.

I love red teles, I also had great trouble trying to capture the colour on camera without getting a photo that I was satisfied with.

Good luck with the flat bridge, I don't know what they're like to play. Congratulations on your latest purchase, enjoy :D

Stick a set of Texas Special Tele pickups on that baby and nail James Burton's dazzling country-rock licks to perfection!
