O.K. I dont know what iam doing wrong, I followed the wiring blue prints to get the new wiring not the OLD VINTAGE , and I got nothing.
On the Bridge position I get no sound
Middle position no sound
Neck position I get sound but no off volume, The volume control all the way clockwise gives me volume then I turn it counter clock and about 1/4 of the way it gets a bit louder then its the same all the way, The tone control does not do any thing.
And like I said I followed the wire print that come with the guitar.

Here is the same schematic, but a different drawing. It might help you.
Double check everything!

Well I took it down to the guitar shop and he did say my work was good and clean..BUT their is deal on the 3 way switch that was bad but would work on the Vintage wiring,,,So he had an extra switch from the same guitar and got it back...It stillsounds awsome with the modern wiring...Iam so pleased with it.

Don't need to replace the 3 positions switch to have "modern" wiring . I have the same tele and I do this mod with original 3 way switch.

Tele or Strat 3 position switches are the same.

Oh I understand now ! I never read you want a five position switch . You need two more position. your question was not clear enough for me.

5 position switch is the answer for you

Huh? Why is a 5-way switch needed? There are only two pickups. The 3-way switch works for either vintage or modern wiring. Always has, always will.
