No, the fsr went back because I was funding a Gibson les Paul

But I still had the tele itch.

My FSR went back, too. I fell hard for another FSR, a Sunset Orange Transparent finish MIM P-90 Tele so the mid-boost had to go. Ah well, it was fun while I had it.

I predict a longer stay for your new Baja. Great choice!

John

Hey John, that p90 tele is a sweet looking guitar

I'm really enjoying the baja tele, I can't imagine better pickups
For this guitar.

Yep, that was a case of all impulse control leaving me, Impulse7. Hmmm, what can I trade for this Tele? It had to be the FSR mid-boost... one FSR for another.

Thanks. That FSR P-90 plays and sounds as good as she looks, too. It's the only orange finish guitar that ever appealed to me.

Custom Shop Master Builder Chris Fleming really nailed it with the Baja specs. The Twisted Tele neck/Broadcaster bridge combo is right up there with Custom Shop Nocasters as my favorite Telecaster pickups.

My fellow tele forumites, I may disappoint
Some, others will agree.
I returned the telecaster (I loved by the way)
For this: I got a good deal.

I thought an awesome guitar or an amp
That all my guitars will sound great with.
With the Jensen amp upgrade, it sounds awesome
But not as loud due to the 40 watt speaker rating
I've read.
But I tried cabbing it out and it's loud.
Ps third times a charm huh,

the jensen speaker is rated at 40 watts but the amp itself is 22 i believe. But still a great trade bluestrattone, what guitars do have left to pair with it. Btw without going to the custom shop level, that amp is the hallmark blackface sound that fender currently produces. Youll love it

The Baja was nice. That amp is pretty killer though 8) Good trade in my book. Have fun with it!

The baja was awesome, no complaints but the drri is
Iconic fender tone, under a grand that is.

You'll get no disagreement from me. A Deluxe Reverb Reissue is always a good decision. Iconic Fender tone, indeed. I'll bet your '57 and '62 Hot Rod Strats and the Lester sound great through it. Enjoy.

Well, the DRRI is always a great choice, yes! (I have one and love it).

Curious, do you think you'll replace the Tele with the same model at some point? Your posts had me wanting one, and I just got my first Tele a few days ago (it's a Road Worn 50's MIM, and the thing it fantastic sounding, AND has an incredible feel to it). Wondering how the sound of one of those and mine would compare...

my hr 62 strat sounds fantastic through it, my hr 57 sounds great too, and the lester
rawks.

not sure if i would end up getting a baja, the guitar was awesome but a bit on the pricey side. your roadworn tele is my favorite of the RW series, then the 60s RW in white.
they soud great also. maybe a cv 50s or cv 60s telecaster might fit the bill.

as soon as i bought the tele, left me wondering if ishould've bought a drri being that i couldnt stop thinking about it.
the drri has the best clean tone in that price range, my bud has a TWO ROCK sudio pro
35 and that thing has a slighlty better clean tone than the drri, but slightly and subtle.
you know, its loud but not as loud as the black drri, but it is because of the speaker.
because once i cab it out to my 2x12 i cant go past 4/5 in the house because its loud.
and the tone is the same but louder. even on a jet city 2x12 emenince "legends" jet city branded cab.

Nice score on the Baja Blondie! It looks awsome and, I bet it sounds sweet! The cat who traded the Baja for the DR, nice score also! You can never go wrong with a DR with a nice Jensen inside. Congrats to both of you gents!

interesting comment about the tworock vs the drri

Friend of a friend just went to get one in melbourne (boutique amps are rare as hens teeth in perth). Im interesed to see how it compares when he brings it back (especially in a live setting). From the reviews ive seen they seem to both be aiming for the same ballpark, but the tworock has those pull out control boosts for the different frequencies which look the business

Your thoughts?
