hey new to teles. got a fender midnight wine telecaster MIM standard and it is 10 times better than the USA teles IMO, it is probably better than my MIM strat and it only cost 360 pounds and is better than every other guitar over 500 pounds ive ever played. its got the 60s anniversary neck plate. were these ones built with way more care and effort or did i just get lucky with it cause it was better than all the other MIM teles i played

I have a 2006 Standard MIM in black and I love that thing. It has a larger neck, (D neck maybe?), that I love the feel of and the sound is so simple. It's a guitar that just makes me happy!

Just ran the serial numbers on MIM Telecaster and darn if it's not a 1996 instead of a 2006. Either way, it's a keeper. I may install a pearl type pick gaurd just to make it a little different from my black Strat.

Day two of being an old but new to me MIM Telecaster and I've got to say it's better than I gave it credit and I was giving it a lot of credit too. I played it for around an hour or so and the time went by so quick I didn't even realize it. I then put it down and played my Ibanez AR200 with a Bigsby installed and man is it's worlds apart. Both are keepers! It's nice to have different guitars with different personalities.
