Hi guys

I always check the telecaster forum and I love reading peoples joy at buying a tele so I thought I should upload a picture of mine.

I was always a strat man and never considered a telecaster. I have a MIM strat that I've had since 1995 and I planned to buy an American model to have a "real" fender that will last and play like a dream. The more I thought about it the strat just went out of the window and I fell in love with the telecaster.

I was in London in February and I went into a music shop in Denmark street and picked up this beauty...

An American Deluxe Telecaster which I am over the moon about. It plays so nice and I can't stop looking at it let alone playing it.

The only downside is the low E ferrule was not secure and came out when I changed the strings. I was surprised as I did not expect this for a deluxe US guitar and I must admit I was pretty disappointed. I was advised by fender UK to glue it in place which I'll get around to at some point but I wont let that ruin my love for this guitar

I need a new amp though my Vox AD50vt just isn't giving me the sound I'm looking for. The new amp has got to be a fender (When funds permit).

Anyway enough of my chatting.

Take it easy

Tom

Nice Tele...as for a new amp...try a Deluxe Reverb Reissue, which you can usually grab used for around $650 or so. Or if you need more oomph, try a Silver Face Super Reverb...just stay away from the Master Volume models.

If you find something post a pic on the amp section, vintage or the newer stuff depending on what you go with and you will get a pretty quick answer on what folks think of the deal. Make sure you post as much info as you know about it.

Thanks sjlen - I love it but I've just got to get good at playing now. I'm self taught over many years and I have started refining and going back to basics to improve my technique.

T that's great help on the amp. Its hard to know what to go for these days but I definitely want a tube amp.

The trouble I have is that I'm not in a band at the moment and I play at home in a flat so wattage and volume is a problem for me. I was thinking a 15 watt option like the blues junior 111 or a Princeton Reissue. I don't suppose you have any opinions about these amps? I'm after that fender clean sound with the bluesy and rock n roll feel when needed.

Thanks again.

Tom
