Impossible to tell from those photos.

What does a "mexican" finish look like compared to an "American" one?

You don't think "legends" use Mexican made guitars?

the mexican finish is more "solid" than the american one, the american one is bit more see through, can actually see the grain in the wood.

and i have nothing against mexican guitars man, i have a mexican strat and i [EDITED: profanity deleted] love it wouldnt get rid of it, and no need to get testy mate, just looking for help. im saying they can afford to get proper american customs, so why would they go for the mexican ones, this is what im trying to figure out, cause if anybody can help me out identifying this one ben uses, if there would be a huge difference between the mexican and hte american one

Like I said. Can't tell from those photos.

And watch your language. This forum does not tolerate obscenities.

It's a Tele "Custom" that has been modified. My first guess that the switch taps the hum bucker. I have a similiar system on my Tele. Also it looks like the saddles have been changed out.

The perticular model could an American Vintage or Classic Series '72 Tele Custom found here on the Fender Webisite.

Hope this helps.
