i just got a 03 69' tele thinline used at guitar center about 2 weeks ago. it's my second electric guitar, but it's really my first good one (first was a no-name strat clone). there's just something about this guitar that makes me want to practice like a madman cause ever since i got it i haven't been able to put it down.

Mine is a '72 Thinline, and I LOVE this guitar! The wide-range pickups will just melt you, and they give you an alternative to the singles in most Fenders. The semi-hollow body warms the tone and it can distort like mad! I have it in 3-color, but I'll bet the natural would age beautifully

It's just such a unique beast! It's a whole lot of guitar for the money. I do have one question though: Have you noticed how the curvature of the fingerboard makes it difficult to set the action if you do much bending?

I got my copy of Frontline-in-home and went to my local dealer to "test drive" the new Champion 600 and used a Tele Thinline. I really liked the spunk and twang. No pics, but it was Oly White w/maple and played fine.

Yes they are, but mine's gorgeous, not a flaw on it. 60th anniversary badge on the back of the headstock, natural finish humbucker model with the "mother of toilet seat" scratchplate. My first Fender! I now have a standard Stratocaster in sunburst w/ maple neck & white guard and a DG8 acoustic also, my wife can't understand why I'd want three guitars, but after looking through the forums, I'm not even in the RACE!

Also they are only hollow from the top of the guitar to the top of the pickups. Hence why you can fit bigsby trems without breaking the body.
