I hear they are great project guitars. Due to the low cost of admission.

I played one at GC, and the stock pickups are actually really nice for a 500 dollar guitar.

I still have every intention of picking one up one of these days - probably go with the Candy Apple Red and rosewood. I've been buying too many other guitars lately... no intention of modding either.

I love my Blacktop Tele and the pickups are plenty hot to push any good amp into distortion when needed. The fit and finish on those things is great. :D
