I've been pleased playin' my various Teles thru an old Vibrolux Reverb, Deluxe Reverb, and most of all my Reissue Bassman. I've tried lots of different amps and some were very good. (The Classic Series from Peavey was especially good too.) The nice thing is that they don't cover up the guitar tone. I want everyone in the room to hear the raucous clang of my Tele!

A Twin Reverb. Vintage or not. 'Nuff said.

I play my MIM Standard Sunburst through a Behringer V-Tone GMX212. Its a modeling amp, so I can get Tweed, California, British etc sounds from it. I set it for Tweed, put on some good old fashioned spring reverb, crank the mids and highs, and it is unmistakably a Telecaster.

3 classic combos for me.

Tele into a Deluxe Reverb
Strat into a Bassman
Les Paul into a Marshall

You can cover just about all bases if you have those three.

The Marshall Vintage Modern is great choice for the Tele. I had a Strat on the VM before and changed to Tele which sounds absolutely GREAT!!!

I have both a '72 Re-issue Thinline and a '69 Re-issue Thinline and play both of them through my Peavey Valve King 100w all tube head and a Marshall 4x12 cab. With the Valve King you can go to an almost true Class A sound and with adjustments you are going to get virtually any sound you want. I say this for both the humbuckers and the single coils, and with the semi-hollow F hole body it gives you a little more resonance than a solid body Tele. I've been a Peavey advocate since 1976 both solid state and tube, but now I am strictly tubes. A Dunlop Crybaby is usually the only pedal I need, although an Ibanez Tube Screamer has been known to find its way onto the scene. I also use a Peavey Classic 30 and that is a true blues players best friend, sounds fantastic and doesn't need a second mortgage. This is just my humble opinion, I'm just an old (57 years) Harley riding Tele man!!

I use a Goodsell Super 17 with my Teles, and I get compliments on my tone every time I play. My teles both have custom shop nocaster bridge pickups that I predominantly use when I want to be heard. The amp is also heavenly with my strat.

I prefer the silver faced Twins myself

If your tele don't sound right with a Twin, the you need to have the amp looked at.

Two amps come immediately to mind.
First the Vox AC 30. My 60th Anniversary model is a perfect match with it. It rings with crystal clear, just balls-out tone.
The second is the Fender Two-Tone Amp. The combination of a 10' and 12' speaker are perfect for Tele-Tone.

This list should make it clear: A Telecaster sounds good through any good amp.

I agree, but I run my Tele through a Marshall and it sounds pretty good.
