Hello everyone.

Do you know what kind of magnet are used on these pickups? (Wide Range Pickups RI - MIM)
All information that I read in forums is very obscure, and the Fender, which is who manufactures, not reveal any information about them.

Thanks.

AlNiCo.

For more details about the Wide Range humbuckers (original and reissue) see this Wiki article:

AlNiCO II. The Japanese Wide Ranges feature ceramic magnets.

Good news! Telenator makes faithful reproductions of the original Wide Range humbuckers with the same CuNiFe magnets Fender used in the 1970s. Lee Ranaldo has fitted these replicas on his Jazzblaster guitar.

The bad news: these pickups are offered as in a limited-edition run of 30 pieces.

Thanks.

While googling on the internet to find the information you're looking for. Never saw Telenator making replicas of the original Wide Ranges before. These pickups would become collectible pieces as Telenator says "only 30 examples of these reproductions will be made."

If you're looking for that authentic CuNiFe sound, these babies are yours.

From what I understand Telenators are the closest repros but they are insanely expensive. Not a shot at him, just the nature of the beast. Novak, Lollar and I think Fralin also make, from what I've heard, very good substitutes with less sticker shock.
