Hello Everyone,

I am new to the forum, but I've stopped by from time to time to read stories and learn. Now I find myself in need of some Tele-wisdom.

After an exhaustive search and no reply as of yet from Fender Consumer Relations, I thought someone here could help me. I bought this Tele at a local pawn shop a few days ago. It plays great, but I'm curious about the body. The pics will tell you most of the story. Someone sanded of the logo and the serial # and replaced it with an autograph. You can see the date stamp and the name "Musta" on the neck. The body on the other hand has a stamp that reads (from what I can see) "BUFF OP-90 or 30". As you can see from the pics, the neck pocket looks authentic and it has a micro-tilt. The bridge, neck pickup (the bridge pickup is an aftermarket Seymour Duncan) and electronics (CTS pots) all seem to be authentic to the timeframe.

If anyone can shed a little light on this thing I would be most grateful. Even if she isn't "real" I'll love her just the same. :D Thank you in advance.
