I got a american made telecaster in November, I've played her a ton,
but I'm not sure what model it is, I know she's a 2002 model and she's american made.
I'm 14 and teachin' myself to play, here's a pic of her
Image
I know pretty much nothing when it comes to the mechanics of the guitar...
Thanks,
Tessa♥

Well, I'm pretty sure the pickguard is aftermarket. Beyond that it could be an American Standard. Three colour burst. Alder body. Rosewood board.

.... I don't know what else to tell you. (shrugging shoulders)

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

What's to correct? It is without a doubt a Telecaster. If it is American made, it will say it on the headstock. If it was made in 2002, the serial number will most likely start with Z2 . Congratulations on such a beautiful find. Enjoy.

Nice guitar there, but you really need to change the style of you skids!
In fact, Why have you a pair of skids behind the guitar? :)

dont know about the tele, but id say those skids are marks and spencers `home comfort` range. Check the label for any washing guidelines, may even have a year of issue on there.... :D

If you email these guys with your serial number they should be able to give you a good description including the model consumerrelations@fender.com it can take a day or two for them to get back to you sometimes but they will respond.

As for the underwear we don't see much of that kind of thing on the Tele forum but there may be an expert lurking somewhere :D

Being new here . . . I woud not be the source to tell you what the guitar is. However I would like the opportunity to say that I love the pick guard!Part of my life . . . I grew up in Texas and those are pretty Texas flag colors!

Love the pickguard 8) if she's anything like my MIA standard, she will sound and play great too.

It is an American Telecaster, assuming the neck and body are original to each other. It has a 22 fret neck. The Mexicans have a 21 fret neck.

This is a professional grade instrument. Don't mess with it (please).

Thanks guys,
and, that's a shirt, not a pair of underwear, I promise, just one that I wear around the house,

Still, thanks!
