I have just bought a Deluxe Nashville Power Tele guitar, but when I use my stereo cable it sounds very weak and dark. If I use a mono cable it sound very good. The piezo pickups sound good with stereo or mono cable.
Does anyone know why or if it's a defect.[/quote]

Hey jnj,

I wish someone, anyone, had responded with some information to your question.

My Power Tele will be delivered tomorrow and I'm kinda curious about the stereo cable myself. I bought mine used on ebay with no cable.

Did you ever work out the problem? Are you using two amps or two channels in one amp?

"Plugging Into One Amp for Stereo

If you're using a stereo Y lead and plug the ends respectively into the Normal and Vibrato channels of a two-channel Fender like a Twin, a Deluxe or a Vibrolux etc. you will get a very thin sound if both pickups are turned on. This is because these amps are designed so that the output from each channel arrives at the speakers out of phase. (Mark Norwine wrote about this in an earlier thread on stereo guitars.) There is a Gibson amplifier designed for stereo inputs but I am not familiar with it."
