Anybody in the '52 Tele club that's added shielding to the pickup cavities? Most of my other guitars have been shielded and they still buzz, but it wasn't until I got my '52 (which is completely unshielded) that I really noticed how much that shielding actually helps.

So, anyone out there shield their '52, or would that be considered blasphemy given the "vintage correct" nature of those guitars?

I didn't shield mine, but I changed the pickups to Seymour Duncan Vintage Stacks which to me sound better than the factory pickups. There is still just enough noise pickup from the wiring to sound "authentic" but not enough to be intrusive. :D
