I have owned my Hot Rod Tele for a while now . I'm trying to find out how to make it easier to play. The Jumbo fret's probably doesn't help, as the action can only be lowered so much. I also tried another one at a store and found that same guitar hard to play. Maybe it could also be classed as not very fast playing . It's been set up to normal specs by a pro. So i'm hoping for some tips on how to make it a better player. It sounds awesome by the way. Unplugged it resonates like a monster.

Well mine was pretty well set up when I bought it. It even came with 10's fitted which is the gauge I use. It could be that if your used to 9's it may feel a bit slugish!
If you have re strung it with 9's it may well need a little truss rod tweak also!
I set all my own guitars up but apart from a little saddle adjustment I didn't do anything else with this guitar...Oh apart from giving the back of the neck a quick polish with 00grade wire woll to take that stickyness away!
I think this Tele' is the best Fender have ever made and like you say it resonates so well compared with other guitars.

I just posted a link to a track dedicated to this guiatr in the general forum.

But here it is anyway.
