Number of authentic vintage Fender "prototypes" I've ever seen on eBay: zero.

By this liberal use of the word, I guess that every custom ordered or masterbuilt project CS Tele made these days is a prototype. Might this have been one of the first RW Teles made? Sure. But the form and function is identical to other Teles of the period, so it's not a prototype.

Serial numbers on necks? Registration numbers on neck plates? Also note that references to the serial number have apparently been added to the provenance letters by the seller.

...and $350,000.00, well at least there free shipping! :D

I'm kinda irritated that Elvis carelessly wore a big belt buckle while he played it and scratched up the back lol

So, for 350K you can buy a guitar that Elvis did not particularly want, and he sent back to Fender with a "No Thanks"!? :?

It's a nice guitar, but some of the prices asked for rare guitars is just asinine. IMHO

For $350K, I hope you get all the pickguard screws. I only see three on there!

I will never undertand why someone would pay so much for a guitar. For that much money, If I were to spend that much money, I would buy a Tele for every day of the year. I really doubt anyone would buy it anyway for that price. Like they say, you can ask whatever you want for a guitar, doesn't mean anyone is going to buy it!

Looks like the seller has one offer pending...much lower no doubt.

Rated 10 out of 10 except for all the scratches on the back, like scratches supposedly inflicted by Elvis raise the value and negate the damage.

Sorry, someone is dreaming again.

I think most of us would rather have the roof over head and the cars in the driveway that $350'000.00 could provide.
