I received some vintage noiseless tele pups as a gift. Somewhere between opening the gift and installing them, the instructions were lost. No worries, only a couple wires, right? I soldered them into the same positions as the original pickups. They are NOT noiseless. I don't have the original instructions and cant find them on the Fender site. Did I miss something? Are they somehow wired different? I would appreciate any advice. The noiseless in my strat work excellent, would like to get this tele set up as well. Thanks, and Happy New Year!!!!!

Don't expect them to be dead silent. They may have a slight bit of noise, but certainly less than a regular single coil pickup. If the noise is really bad, then you have a cold solder joint and/or a bad ground. Here is the correct wiring diagram. Check all your connections. It is irrelevant if you have a Greasebucket tone circuit vice the tone circuit shown as it has nothing to do with how the pickups are wired.
