I just bought a 2011 MIM Standard Tele, want to re string it with a set of D'addario Extra Heavy (EXL148) strings, this is .012 to .060 for C standard tuning. Since this is a huge step from the stock ones, I´m wondering what sort of set up would be needed, if any? Any particular regards? Action, intonation? thanks!

Yes, all of the above. Intonation, Neck relief, and action will all need to be set with that drastic of a change. You will also need to have the nut slots opened up to accommodate for the larger string diameter to prevent the strings from binding in the nut.
