Don`t worry about what people think of the Squire`s, if it fits your budget and you enjoy playing it that`s all that matters.

I gig with a mexican standard telecaster and a vintage modified squier telecaster and I love playing both. There are some songs that I really prefer the humbucker sound of the squier actually. Squier are making some great guitars, especially at the price.

I am new to guitar myself. I have a MIM, however.....As long as playing gives you joy, I would think that it does not matter what brand you have! Enjoy your Squire!

Having your Squire is better than not having a guitar!

Bluesky636, I notice in the pictures of your guitar that the ferrel holes in the back of your guitar are not uniformly spaced. What's with that? Doesn't look like a factory job.
