Hi - saw one of these at my local store today and have to say, I was very impressed with the sound and the quality of finish. I know these are chinese made, but it really was lovely in a 'honey burst' finish. I would love to buy one BUT (and it's a big but), why on earth isn't there a left-handed option?

Excellent series, entry level at the right price that lets anyone own an actual Fender, but no left- handed option. Why is this? And will there be left handed options in the future?

thanks

Likely because there simply isn't enough demand. They'll undoubtedly sell a couple hundred thousand of the right-handed models and won't worry about selling a few hundred lefties. To have to do two complete production setups for a guaranteed market and a non-market is pretty much a no-brainer for the Fender production execs.

I understand what you're saying, but you imagine being left-handed and wanting one of these beauties, I mean REALLY wanting one. You are obviously right-handed yourself.

It's frustrating beyond belief, but there again I guess there is the fender custom shop, but it will cost more. Just the left-handed option is twice the amount this guitar costs in right-handed guise. It's such a right handed world.

There's a long list of Fender models that never came out with a left-handed version. I will admit that I can't feel your pain, but I have no trouble understanding Fender's thinking. I guess I'm just lucky that I was born into that 87% that favors the right hand. Sorry guys. :(

There's no need to gloat quite so much mate at right handers' lion share of the models available, I would rather be in the 13% minority believe me, than the same as millions of right handed players out there.

There should be more choice and more models for left handers. Period. As I told Fender. And Gibson.

Who's gloating? I didn't pick my parents. And if you'd rather be in the 13% minority, looks like you got your wish. I'm glad you told Fender and Gibson you think there should be more lefty models - hope they listen to you.

Tell me, do you have to practice at being a patronising bar steward, or does it come naturally?

Tsk, tsk, now you're resorting to name calling... :( I guess that's what I get for simply pointing out the economics of the situation since YOU ASKED! Let's see, 13% of the general population is left-handed, figure that maybe 1/10 of 1/10 of 1% of that 13% actually plays guitar... gee, that's really not a very big pool of potential buyers, is it? I guess that's why Fender and Gibson aren't paying much attention to your whining.

But to answer your last rude question, I guess it just comes naturally, like being RIGHT HANDED!

Oh, and by the way, you're foed. Adios, Lefty.

Would only make sense to me to figure out some kind of pre production demand estimation (supply/demand) and the make 13% left and 87% right? :( and i dont see that as whining should be a sign that theres a margin of individuals there leaving out of there potential sales. Im with lefty, it would be nice to have an option to order online and have it show up at the closest authorized dealer, but what do i know, im just a consumer :)
