Does anyone have a regular SKB Guitar case for their Telecaster? (Tough Plastique on the outside) I believe I do have a nice one however sometimes when I pick it up - - - I get an electro static shock. To some this might seem like a minute problem, but I hate getting shocked like that. I am looking for something good and decent to store the Mexican Tele. Are there any other companies that make good cases with a decent price?

As I said, I have a Mexican Tele and I don't want to spend half the amount on a case .

Perhaps you guys might not know something I don't

Thanks!

Try rubbing the case with a Cling Free dryer antistatic sheet or similar product. Works to remove a static charge from pickgurads, should work for a plastic guitar case too. Certainly cheaper than a new case.

You are right. This will beat buying a new case. Besides, I like how the interior of the case is set up and showcases my Telecaster everytime I open it up. I will use the cling free antistatic sheets.

Thanks Bill!

I bought an SKB for my MIM and don't have this problem. Maybe you should try the fabric softener.
