I have been comparing a lot of Fender guitars. The Jim Adkins JA-90 Telecaster® Thinline on the Fender website here.. http://www.fender.com/products/search.p ... 0262350538 says the scale length is 24.75" (62.9 cm) but all the websites that sell the guitar say it is 25.5"

I assume since all the other fenders I've looked up are 25.5" scale that the JA-90 is also.. but still have doubts since Fender lists it as 24.75" on their site. I've looked for one to try in the stores but have not had any luck.

Also.. are all of the JA-90's made in Indonesia?

Thank you,
Daniel

I will measure mine this evening when I get home. Yes, they are all made in Indonesia, but the quality of my guitar was excellant. I bought the natural, because I didn't like the look of the transparent black that I played. The red looked pretty nice, but I didn't want another red guitar. Here's a pic of mine:

They are 24.75". I would say the Fender website is the most trusted source there. I have also played one (and owned it for 2 days, returned for a nut/string tree issue), they are definitely a shorter scale than a standard telecaster.

If you really want to know for sure, go to your local store with a measuring tape, and measure the distance from the nut to the bridge. That is your scale length.

That's correct, 24.75" scale. Since the bridge is at an angle, it's more accurate to measure from the top of the nut to the top of the 12th fret wire and double it.

Thank you all for the information. I'll keep my eyes open, hopefully I'll find one in the store someday to try out.
