I thought the official 60th Tele with the thinskin nitro finish had American Vintage pickups. Now Fender is showing American Standard pickups in the specs. What kind of pickups do I have in my 60th?

In my opinion, The American Standard Neck Pickup is one of the best that Fender makes.

"American Standard Pickups."

And you know this how? Sales literature and overview says American Vintage. Fender has been asked directly in this forum and would not respond.

I am sure you did not mean your response to come off as douchey as it does.

1. It is on the Fender Website http://www.fender.com/products/60th-tele/models.php?prodNo=0116112 "American Standard Telecaster single-coil pickups"
2. I emailed Fender Customer Relations
3. I have played the 60th Anniversary Telecaster and the pickups are dead ringers for my 2010 and 2011 American Standards.

The Anniversary model is a Standard with a different finish. If I hadn't followed up with #2 and #3 above, I wouldn't be so sure. In my experience, Fender's sales literature is far from accurate (you can refer to my posts on my 2010 American Deluxe Ash and how it compared to the Web literature).

No just a question as to what you based your answer on since the website says [said, see below] one thing one place and something else in another place.

And I note they have edited the webpage and the overview NOW says American Standard where previously it state American Vintage.

Glad they finally cleared it up.

In the latest Guitar World, Fenders director of marketing says they're Vintage pickups. The confusion continues.

I saw that too. Fender Marketing is nothing if inconsistent.
