You could possibly find one of the companies that makes custom pickguards, and see if they could make you a control plate that fits your needs. Unfortunately, I just went completely blank on the names of these companies.
Or, if you were brave, you could order just a regular control plate, and drill you a hole where you wanted, just make sure you're using the right drill bit to go through the metal.

Are you still using the multi position "top hat" switch? You can find a blank control plate here:, http://store.guitarfetish.com/guitarhardware.html but you''ll have to drill every hole. What diameter or type of toggle were you going to use? Some require a 1/4" hole (mini) or 1/2" hole (standard, like a Les Paul). Do you need any advice about drilling?

If you are still using the multi switch, you can drill your own hole between the knobs. I recommend marking it, then dimpling it with a metal punch to keep your smaller pilot bit from wandering all over the plate, then drilling it with with the right size bit. Be careful, because sometimes the bit will grab and spin the plate and cause damage to your hand and fingers. If you can securely mount the plate in a vise without marring it, all the better. Might even drill it from the back side. Oh yeah, wear safety glasses! That metal can go anywhere!

One thing I've found that is great for drilling thin metal plates is the step bit (Unibit), though they are pricey for a one time job. Home depot, Lowes, and Northern Tool, among others, sell them.

Good luck!
