WOW that is awesome, but wait one question it is a replica right? and do you any idea how much it will cost, I'm guessing in the $1000 range.

Does anyone have official pricing on this? I can't find it on Musician's Friend or any other online site. It's not listed on Fender's online price form either.

Yeah that would be nice to know about. It'll probably be around $1,500 i'm guessing. But you never know.

Price is $899 at most online vendors. Already got mine paid for-- I can't wait until it gets here. I ordered as soon as I heard they're available for pre-order, so hopefully, I'll get the art customization kit.

Doubt I'll use it though.

What?!? Fender can't be bothered with those sorts of details, who is going to care anyway? [/sarcasm]

Joe had a number of Telecasters.

The most famous one is the sprayed black '66 sunburst with 'noise' stenciled on it. Later the tuning pegs were replaced (around 1980 ?). However, when The Clash signed to CBS he was given a black one (with maple fingerboard). According to legend it remained in the box during the recording of the first album. This is the one that had 'control' stenciled on it and the 'Tiger' sticker. There was another Tele' that had '240 Volts' electrical warning stickers during the 'famous' Bonds residency.

There was also a white Esquire with black stripes. This was seen on 'Saturday Night Live'. All of these guitars are clearly visible in Bob Gruen's photograps. The book of which is clearly on the bench in Farley's workshop.

The 'Joe Strummer Telecaster' gives you the chance to take the basic elements and make something original. How many will be sold that never get played out or customised ?
