I was wondering where people buy their pickguard replacements for the Fender Reissue version of the 72 Telecaster Deluxe?
terrapin guitars was recommended but they're pretty expensive.
Warmoth states that their pickguards are recommended for the telecaster bodies that they produce.

Mine comes from fender so..
I was wondering how people obtained pickguards like the ones shown here:

do they really come from fender?

Much Thanks,

I can't vouch for that particular item but you can buy quite a lot of genuine Fender parts.

Looking at their eBay shop and their ratings they certainly look genuine enough - from what I can see there's no reason to doubt them.

I don't know about the law there in the USA but here in the UK you wouldn't get away with selling fake goods like that for long (if they were fake).

A pickguard is a pickguard, I don't think it devalues the guitar, or means the guitar isn't genuine fender anymore, if you buy an aftermarket replacement pickguard. It is most likely that for some parts of fenders guitars, they contract smaller company's to make them(eg making the paint, or the control knobs, or pickguards).
