Hey mates,

So I am possibly going to buy this guitar from an acquaintance. Its a partscaster for sure. Only Fender piece on this guitar is the neck. He claims that the neck on this particular guitar is off of a 60th Anniversary Fender Tele. The Headstock right off the bat is painted black.

The serial # on the guitar is:
US10087699

Which I believe is consistent with 60th Anniversary Tele necks, but there no markings or anything other than a big chrome decal that Says "Fender Telecaster". My gut tells me that this is NOT a 60th anniversary tele, but i figured i would try and get someone else's knowledgable opinion.

Hey johnny,

US10 stays on the american deluxe models too. i would gues by the chrome decal and the greenish pearl inlays, that its a american deluxe tele neck - however not from the new series as of march 2010. the body: idknow.

hope i helped!!

Trust Your Gut!!! I see a few Flaws. Top load Bridge, Jack Plate vs cup, Control plate is not parallel to the bridge, pickguard fit to the body contours. As for the neck the only US model I know with a painted headstock is the JA-90 and the logo looked different. To put a value on it is tough. If you like it, It's worth a few bucks but you may never get much back if you decide to sell it. :(
Partscasters are Rarely worth the sum of there parts..

Trust Your Gut!!!
