I have 5 Strats of varying ages and the new 60th anniversary Tele. Some Strat necks are satin , but even the gloss ones are not sticky. I love the Tele but I want to know what can be done for the stickiness of the neck. Will it cure over time? Or is there something that can be done now?
Any info would be much appreciated.

Wipe the neck down real good with a barely damp cloth before playing. If that doesn't help, try spraying the back of the neck with Finger Ease occasionally. The neck on my AVRI 52 Tele is the same say. I really want to lightly sand it to cut the gloss, but it is so purty. So I use Finger Ease.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. Much appreciated. Do you think it will cure itself over time as well? Or is that just unsubstantiated blog talk?

After three weeks of playing mine, the sticky feel on the back of the neck has gone. It helps to do a damp cloth then dry cloth wipe down after you play

The sticky-ness will go away. Play the guitar for a month or two, and in the meantime keep the neck wiped down and clean.
