I am 55 years old have played guitar for 40 years. I just bought my 1st Fender. It is an MIM Telecaster. I can not believe I waited this long. I have always loved the Telecaster sound but have never played one. I went to Guitar Center and it was love at first sight. For a guitar that cost $499 dollars I have never played a better sounding or playable guitar. Way to go Fender! I am now a confirmed Fender lover. I have played an American Strat that belongs to a friend but had no idea how well the Mexican Teles' played.

Welcome to the Forum. If nothing else you have a nice reward for the long Tele wait. Glad you are enjoying the new guitar...by the way small unwritten rule here, you have to post pics of your guitars or it didn't happen. We love guitar/amp pics!

Enjoy your time here, lots of great folks, Fender info, and some great humor to boot.

T2

Welcome to the forum!! You made a good choice. I, too, own a MIM Tele and I've been playing it more than my American-made Strat lately. I'm 60 and been playing, on and off, for about 35 years, so it's good to have someone else close to my own age on here. Quite a few of us older players on here, but there's always room for more!

Welcome aboard! I just turned 60 and have been playing a little longer, (guitar & keys) but the older I get, the better I was! :?

Welcome to the forum. I see this is the place the 60 year olds are hanging out, so I figured I better drop in since I'm a member too. I was never a Tele fan until I played my friends. I now have my own and nearly bought a second. I only held off because I'm saving for an LP. I loaned my Tele to a friend last week, and every night I look around the room and miss it. Though overall I like my Strat better, I always seem to reach for the Tele first. They're fun guitars.
