New tele vid... it's an unfinished tune I just can't get anymore verses written for but like the first one so much I decided to record it anyway. Let me know what you think!

BTW, the new edit features in YouTube are pretty sweet if you haven't checked them out. Not super fancy, but good enough to touch up lighting, etc Cheers

Sounds great so far, stick with it. Presumably you made the backing (stumming), track yourself.

I'd be interested to know how you recorded that because it's all quite clear, the backing track, the lead guitar and the vocal, is it just one mic in the room? Did you have the backing track played therough the computer and just the lead guitar through the amp, did you use a seperate amp for your vocals?

Nice tele too:-)

It's a pretty low-fi set up really. The backing track is being played with a Boss Rc-20 Looper through the Twin, as is the lead. The vocals are coming out of the Peavey KB-4 amp using a Shure SM58...the whole thing is being recorded using my point and shoot Nikon camera..the S8000. Nothing fancy, but no way to add furthur tracks...

Very nice! I like it... a lot! Great job putting it all together.

Unique Tele w/ the Bigsby and a 'bucker in the neck. What's the history on the Tele?

Well, she's a mutt.

HWY 1 Body
Allparts/MJT C shaped nitro finished neck...tall narrow frets
Fralin Unbucker Neck pup
Fralin Vintage Tele Bridge Pup
ToneShaper electronics with 5-way Switch & reversed control plate (nice for volume swells but kinda a pain to access the 5-way given it's usually covered by the trem arm)
Bigsby "F" Vibrato, kluson double line tuners, "F" neckplate
Graphite nut

I really like the guitar but it's kind of a log...not sure if it's just an abnormally heavy HWY1 body or just the extra weight of the bigsby but she's not what you'd call light weight. I don't mind it, it's just how it came together. It plays and sounds great though and was a fun project. I'd like to find a roller bridge at some point as the stock bigsby bridge has some intrinsic flaws with not returning to tune... as a result, I don't frig around with it much.
