I've been playing my Tele quite a bit lately after doing some repair work on it and getting new strings. I play through a lot of distortion, and man does the Tele thump when I palm mute on it. I had it tuned to drop D the other night and it sounded incredible. And it's a standard single coil Tele. I wouldn't hesitate to play it at a metal gig.

I tried it with my Tele when I first got it. Liked it. Bridge or neck pickup?

Bridge pickup. The neck pickup is good for playing leads with the tone rolled all the way off and lots of delay.
