hello!

i need to replace the output jack of my tele!
do i have just to unscrew the output and remove the iron circle?
what's the best way to dismantle that iron circle?
is it necessary to remove the control plate too?
thank for your answers and help...
cordially,
Lou

I'd get a socket wrench and a flathead.

I'm guessing. Shouldn't be too hard.

That's just me. I have the pop in style of jack. Do you have the 4 bolt? I never see those.

1. Remove the nut from the output jack.
2. Remove the chrome outer cup from the guitar.
3. Remove the control plate from the guitar.
4. Fish the output jack out from the body through the control plate route.
5. Unsolder the two wires from the output jack.
6. Solder the two wires back onto the new output jack taking care to make sure the same connections are made.
7. Reverse step 4 through 1 to reinstall the jack.

You do not have to remove the steel retainer plate that is wedged inside the body hole.
