My friend and I have been loaning each other our guitars so we can each get a taste of something different. I've got his '57 Tele right now. He refinished the body and used a stock Fender color. I'm not sure of the color, it looks like the green Chevy used on their '57's. I'm also not sure what the neck profile would be called, it feels like a U shape. It has a narrow 40.7mm metal nut. It's a neat little guitar with pure Tele sound, it sounds just like you play.

Apparently. I'm just the loanie. I like playing different guitars, so I don't ask a lot of questions. I just take what I'm offered.

Yeah, you're probably right. It seemed darker than some of the surf greens I've seen on new guitars. I think this color deepens with age. I've noticed that on some of the ebay photos of used ones.

It's been refretted with very small frets, .035"t, I don't remember the width, I have it at home. It is a real player, since I've had it, it's the one I grab first. I broke into "Walk Don't Run" last night because it's got that vibe.
I'm home now, the width is .102", nice and slippery. My strat is .103" x .052", so these are considerably lower and the action is set down also.

Puts my Tele project to shame. I can't even compare to 0.0000001 percent of that.
