I built one. Its a lot of fun. I changed out all the electronics, it has a Lollar Vintage T neck and Special T in the bridge. Hipshot bridge and obviously the G/B Bender with Drop D.

Cool mod!!! So there's a b bender attached to the strap, does the g bender work like a wammy bar? And the d bender? Is that just a two position drop d/e switch or can u get the pedal steel thing going on the low e string too?

The B bender is actuated by your hip ("Hipshot"), The G bender works off your palm lever. The E/D is a switch like the EVH D-Tuna.

For me, it didn't make sense to spend three times the cost of the guitar to go with Gene's bender. Plus I like the minimal weight, lack of intrusive nature, and the fact that I can move it to any of my other Tele's if I want.

I have been waiting for some kind of post of benders. I found a 2000 USA on e-bay. It is very nice best guitar I ever had. I was now hooked on the standard USA fender b-bender. I had to have a brand new one 2011. warpdrive music. My 2000 in sun burst and I liked the look of the black. Came with a skb case and all the case candy. I play it over a mustang 4 amp. I have never had a guitar that is in tune at every fret this one is. I have several telecasters. I have built tele style guitars from scratch and have sold them for little or no markup. Just a hobby. I am semi retired. The owners of my guitars are very happy. But the USA made telecaster guitars are better than anything I can build. Not sure why but they are. Regards Horton
