Hi folks,
I had a mexican strat and tele modded w/ a Fishman Piezos. The strat works and sounds great. The tele has issues. (I used the VT Powerbridge which is correct according to both the Fishman PDF template and tech support)
The tele piezo sounds fine during soundcheck but the signal decreases intermittently during the show. Strike one.
Also for it to intonate correctly the saddles sit too far forward from the string holes causing there to be too much of an angle. The issue with this is that I have to move the saddles back to line up w/ the string hole while I'm restringing, this causes the piezo wire to move.Having to move the saddles and the wires around during restringing is strike two.

Is anyone familiar w/ this issue and what can i do do to recify it? (Buy another VT Powerbridge? Change to an american body and use the AST?.....)

Welcome.

Usually, any aftermarket item such as your's is conceived by the aftermarket manufacturer around 'traditional' specs of the unit it is replacing. In other words, chances are, your unit was designed after what is now called an, "American Vintage" bridge. In the interests of your wallet, your best bet at this point is to contact Fishman for best possible remedy.

Thanks for the input.
Am I to assume that the Nashville Power Tele also has this same issue?

...it looks like the graphic on the plate has a Fender logo so I'm
hoping their Fishman is a "licensed by" type of unit that actually fits. Anyone here own one of these or play one??

Hi,
I have a Nashville Power Tele Deluxe with the Fishman bridge and have no issues with it. The o/p stays constant and the intonation is fine.
I love this guitar!

Thanks for chiming in Alex,
I'll have a chance to try one out in a couple of weeks...
in terms of the mod, I'll probably just order an AST Powerbridge and drill new string holes to match the Saddles.
