Hey everyone, I got a 2011 American Std. Tele. I absolutely love it.

I play in a heavy band, though. Sometimes I switch over to my Tele and feel like it could put out a little more oomph. I love the guitar and wouldn't trade it for the world, but has anyone here made some modifications as far as pickups to get a little more stank on it?

You might try a Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster pedal.

They work especially well with tube amps, in my experience.

Hi
I Have a Squire Classic Vibe Custom and it is a great guitar and sounded good with the stock pickups but like you i wanted more oommph as i like to play classic rock and blues and so i swapped the pickups for dimarzio's and now it is has more oomph.
In the brigde i put in Pre B-1 and sounds great and loud.
check out the link

In the neck i put in Area T (this is the sound)

Check them out as well as others on the diamrzio site for tele pick ups
and let me know what you went for in the end?
John

I added an After Burner volume boost knob in my Tele. It's not like the Clapton Circuit, but will give you 20db of valume output.
