The pickups on this guitar are ok but i would like to upgrade to getting a more classic country sound and I would like to know what pickups to use.

Those are TR IIIs.
They are excellent pickups.
Don't be silly.

Mexican Fenders are just as good as American Fenders, if not better. Road Worn guitars are stupid. S-Q-U-I-E-R. How many more times can I troll in one post?

JC...you might try some heavier strings. The CV 50 comes with .009's on it. I put .010's on mine and it makes quite a difference. Not only in sound but also the feel. I love it!
