Just delivered. It's the Jim Adkins JA-90 Thinline. I haven't been able to plug it into an amp yet. I'll spend some quality time with it this weekend.

That's the most incredible guitar that I've seen in quite some time,an absolute work of art.It appears to be crafted from just the one piece of ash as I can see no sign whatsoever of a neck join.If that isn't one piece then that's the finest bit of luthiery I've seen in ages even so it's just a sublime piece of work.

That's a really nice guitar. I have a guitar with a set neck and it feels very different to the ones with a bolt on neck. Every small change in a guitar's design and build makes it feel different, even including with or without the plastic on the picguard:-) .

Thanks for everyones comments. I couldn't sign on to the forum all weekend till Brad helped me out. The joint between the neck and body is visible, but the grain of the wood flows very well through this area so that it is not very noticable at all. I played it all weekend until my fingers demanded a break. It's a very different guitar from my Strat and my Guild. I'm real happy with it. I couldn't find a single quality control issue to complain about. The pickups are pretty hot. Not as many tone variations as my Strat with the S1 switch but a real distinctive sound. I feel like I've got my bases well covered with my guitars and am just going to enjoy these for a while.

Here's an interesting detail. The bridge pickup has the low E, A, and D posts offset from the strings. Also, the G is slightly offset but not as much. I really think this was planned and not a mistake.

That is awesome! I agree with Guitslinger, it looks like the neck, and body back and sides are all one piece? Can you confirm or deny that? That looks like a guitar worthy of looking in to for my next Tele.
