I'm building a Tele. I have a 2007 American body and I am using the Fender Noiseless pickups. I purchased copper foil tape with conductive adhesive because I was going to be putting the HOT pups in but then got a great deal on a pair of noiseless.
Sooo. is it worth shielding the body? Should I shield no matter pups I use?
I printed the shielding instructions from another website and I'm ready to go but now I'm not sure if I should
thanks for your help
Steve

I think all Tele's have some buzz, no matter what pickups you use. If that's bothersome, you might try the shielding.

I think hum and buzz occur at different times. When I have the tone way up on my strat copy even though the hum is cancelled at positions 2 and 4, it still buzzes. Besides, shielding your guitar is one step extra in detail that other will appreciate if they know anything. Go for it! You have absolutely nothing to lose because it's so easy and it can't hurt your guitar. Good luck with the project.
