of timing and choices.

Here's mine:
The kid next door grew up to be assistant manager at a Guitar Center. When these FSR first came in, he knew I'd be interested so he put one aside for me and called. I was a little low on cash and couldn't pay the price. He knocked off a huge amount of money and I skipped work early to get it before he changed his mind! Forever grateful to him!

Recently had it autographed by Albert Lee and John Jorgenson. If you know Telecasters you must know these guys!

Nice! I've always been a fan of butterscotch and blonde Teles...Signatures from two legends on one guitar up the cool factor for sure! Did you do anything to protect the autographs from fading/wearing off?

Thanks Tim.

No, I've done nothing to protect them. Not sure what I would use.
They did sign them with Sharpie Permanent Marker.
John Jorgenson commented on the Tele and asked me if I really wanted him to sign it? He said it reminded him of one he had.

I'm going to attempt to upload a photo of my MIM Teles. The one on the left is a 1994 MIM with the Tex-Mex pickups. One on the right is a 2010 MIM Blacktop Tele. Both are great players with some super tones.

Love that Tele every time I see it Riley!

Question for you also Riley...I have been looking around at new guitars, mainly cause I want something to play heavier music on and I get tired of the EMGs in my Schecter. My question for you is...Is the bridge pup on the Blacktop pretty hot? I haven't yet had time to spend much time playing one. And now that I work at GC, I can get any guitar at store cost  so a Blacktop will probably be about $275!

mate all the pickups are amazing! the bridge pup sounsd basically identical to a classic tele single coil on clean, real twangy, and if you put it on distortion you can get a whole range of distortion tones. i usually have the main distortion a third of the way up, sounds real 'in your face' garage punk and bluesy. if you put the distorttion all the way up you can get metal, not that i want to play any metal anyway but man i was amazed at the ranges of tones it could get get, both clean and distorted. i'd reccomend this guitar to anyone

It is quite the nice combination  . But I think I like the silver one with rosewood.
