Check w/Sweetwater.....they have lots of Deluxes, and will inspect it,set it up,and play it before shipping, so there's zero chance of getting a "dud", for the same price GC charges for nothing more than taking the box off 1 truck & tossing it on another....

I just checked, they currently have 3 in Oly.Pearl w/Rosewood fb......
and literally a full page of others

Ok,

It has been 4 weeks since I ordered my AMDT and my GC still say that Fender cannot give them a order delivery date.

WTF   It looks like I may be leaning towards that Gibson ES-339 if Fender Australia or America can't get their $@!& together?

Sweetwater Music (sweetwater.com) ships internationally, and they STILL have 3 of the exact Tele you want in stock, and they can be viewed here
http://www.sweetwater.com/guitargallery/electric/all/sUS11134125/

the best thing about Sweetwater is that every (expensive) guitar they sell goes thru a 55 point inspection, and gets set up and played before shipping, so there's zero chance of getting a "dud" on the 1st try.

EDIT: no, I don't work for Sweet.......i'm just a VERY impressed repeat customer of theirs.

G'day All, Well bad news and good news..

Bad news is; Fender has dissapointed me in not giving me an eta for my Deluxe Tele because I put the order in approximately just over a month ago and still no answer.

Good news; I cancelled the order for the AMDT and walk out of my GC today with a nice new 60th Anniversary Blackguard Blonde Ash Tele.

I also saved myself $580 aud.

I will post pic's ASAP..

Tele's ROCK!!

Mate that is a KILLER looking tele.

Glad to see the aussie blokes getting in on the tele action :) Our US Couterparts seem to have all the fun :P. Never the less that is a striking finish bro, much more vintage vibe than the olympic pearl but still fantastic in its own right.

Well done. BEST thing about the single coil teles is their ability to cut through the mix, get that bad boy out on the stage and let it rip :)

Dan

G'day Dan, Mate thanks for your positive comments :)
I am just as glad as you that I got in on the Tele Action because what a tone machine this thing is  bahhhh haaaa...

I have never realised in all my playing history just how versatile a Tele can be.

Mate the photo's really don't do the finish justice because in reality it is truely very grainy and pretty to look at.

I am no longer dissapointed that I didn't get my AMDT in the end because as you said, this thing really cuts through the mix.
It gives awesome note seperation with clarity and the bridge pickup gives you that humbucker tone + the twang needed, the neck pickup makes me tempted to drop my strats and maybe my Gibsons....lol..that will be hard to do

Mate I definately love the vintage vibe look with all the modern pro's...

From a seasoned muso! FENDER IS ON A WINNER with this anniversary Tele.

I have rehearsal this Thursday night and I reckon I will just take my new one trick pony :D
