I just bought a E.H. Hum- Debugger. I play at a church that has wall lights with dimmers and it is really is noisy when they are on and dimmed. I didn't try it today but was wondering if anyone uses this with their Tele. Mine is a blacktop with P90's in it.

Some venues can be very noisy when interference occurs. I've had good success by using this Ebtech device :

Wow! That is about fourty bucks cheaper than the box I bought. The Debugger has the guitar cable going through it. I wonder if it is similar technology? Iwill try it out and see if it does what I hoped for.

It's the dimmer. They make incredible amounts of electrical noise.

I do not like those lights so sometimes I (discreetly) walk over to the back of the room and turn them off. I have to time it just right before we start playing so nobody has time to notice they are off and switch them back on. They do look nice but sure are irritating. {I've known some women with that same trait}

if the de-bugger doesn't do it for you, toss a set of Guitar Fetish "Lil Crunchy" mini-humbuckers in it and enjoy the buzz-less tones.
I bought a REALLY cheap guitar a while back with the worst P-90s on the planet in it (as a practice modding platform) swapped the Ps for the minis ($60 a matched pair) replaced the Squire electronics(stock in a non Fender geet?) w/full sized, and it now sounds like a $1000 guitar.
Total upgrade package was less than $90.

It sounds like a totally different guitar !!

Off or all the way up and the noise'll stop.

I have the same Ebtech device - it hasn't done a darn thing for me, except quiet some things a little. A pedal like the one below will allow you to dip the 31.25Hz and the 62.5Hz sliders to notch out the hum, although that's a lot to pay if you're not playing for salary:

Wow, I killed the most important thread of all single-coil players? Really? Unbelievable.

lindseyp, I have been using the debugger for the last few weeks and even played at a county fair in a big old exehbition building where the wiring is ancient. I'm very happy with what that little box can do for killing hum. It was a good investment and I won't leave home without it now.
