Hello, I now have all the parts needed to build my new American Tele. I got a new Candy Cola body (WOW is it sweet looking) and a new brass /steel bridge. The bridge is the one with 3 screws behind the string through and 2 screws in the front corner. The here a small hole drilled into the body from the bridge location into the pick up hole. My question is this. Is the bridge supposed to be grounded ? Other than that I have no idea what this one small hole would be for other than to run a small grounding wire from the bridge into the pickup hole.
I checked Fender parts/wiring diagram but I was not able to find one for the newest American Standard.
Can't wait to build this, it's going to be great.
thanks
Steve

you guessed it. On some pickups theres actually a ground wire that has a split that is supposed to be run to the bridge as well as anchored in the body and in the electronics (like the SCNs)
